Back length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Weight: weigh your pet.
Choose the size whose sweater back length is the same as or a little longer than your pet's back length, and check the weight range.
Our sweaters run small. Between sizes, or for a deep-chested pet, choose the bigger one. Example: a 5 kg Bichon with a 28 cm back wears XL.

It's made for small dogs and cats of about 0.5 to 6.5 kg, like Bichons, Poodles, Chihuahuas, Yorkies and Maltese. Always go by your pet's measurements and weight, not the breed.
